Booking Guide

In order to reserve a date, you'll sign some paperwork and pay a session fee of $225. If we haven't already chosen a date, the easiest way to compare calendars is for you to email or call me with a few dates that work for you - I always try to be as flexible as possible. Once that's set, booking is 100% online and takes just a few minutes.

Best Practices for Choosing Your Family Session Date

Choosing the right session date can make a big difference in both availability and experience. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you plan:

• Weekend availability is limited.

I photograph most family sessions on weekends, since that’s when my husband can be home with our kids. Because of this, weekend dates tend to book quickly. If you’re hoping for a specific weekend, I recommend reaching out as early as possible to secure your spot.

• Spring and fall book fastest.

Spring and fall are the busiest seasons for outdoor family photos in Colorado. The weather, colors, and light make these times especially popular, so availability fills up well in advance.

• Themed mini sessions go quickly.

Seasonal and themed mini sessions — especially things like blossom minis — are incredibly popular and often sell out fast. If one of these sessions fits what you’re looking for, be ready to book as soon as dates are released.

• Plan ahead for special occasions.

Many families book sessions with specific goals in mind, like seasonal updates or milestone moments. Booking early gives you the most flexibility with dates and ensures your gallery is delivered in plenty of time for whatever you have planned.

• Weather flexibility is built in.

Weather can always be unpredictable, especially with outdoor sessions. I’m happy to reschedule for inclement weather when needed. If keeping your original date is a priority, we can also shift to an indoor option — either in your home or in my studio.

What to Expect After You Book

Once your session is officially booked, you’ll receive a digital Family Prep Guide via email right away. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to feel prepared — including outfit guidance and tips for a smooth session with kids. It’s designed to answer most common questions, but I’m always happy to help if you need additional support.

Two days before your session, I’ll send a confirmation and reminder email to review timing and details. That’s a great opportunity to ask any last-minute questions or flag potential concerns, like weather or scheduling. Family sessions typically last 30-60 minutes, but I don’t work on a strict clock. There’s no additional charge if we need a little extra time — flexibility is built in so the experience stays relaxed and enjoyable.

After Your Session: The Fun Part!

Within 2 weeks of your session, you'll receive an email from me with a link to a slideshow that includes all of your fully-edited images. Once you've had a chance to see them and marvel for a bit, you'll decide which of the three collections below best suits your needs. After that, you'll have a full month of access to the online gallery, during which you can select the specific digital files and print items you want to use to fulfill your collection... zero pressure!

Collection A - The Simple-- $300

• Your choice of 10 high resolution digital files with print release
• $50 complimentary credit good toward your choice of anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, digital files, etc.

Collection B - The Signature-- $500

• Your choice of 20 high resolution digital files with print release
• $150 complimentary credit good toward your choice of anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, digital files, etc.

Collection C - The Keepsake-- $700

• A complete set of high resolution digital files with print release,
• Slideshow download

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection.
